Practice With A Native Speaker!
Are you interested in taking your spoken Arabic to the next level?
I, Brian, the creator of this app, have been taking private lessons with a native speaker from Palestine for over a year.
Flash cards are a good for repition of vocabulary, but nothing beats real conversational practice with a native speaker.
He is very friendly and speaks English fluently, making it easy and approachable, especially if you are new to practicing speaking in Arabic.
With private lessons you can get one-on-one attention, ask all the clarifying questions you may have, improve your pronunciation through exposure, and will learn faster than practicing on your own. Most of all, it's really fun!
As you are probably aware, times are tough in Palestine right now, to say the very least.
My friend lives in the West Bank, where jobs are scarce and most people are justting by day-to-day without any kind of financial security. (Not to mention the danger to their physical security the Occupation and settlers bring on a daily basis.)
By taking private lessons, you will supercharge your spoken Arabic skills while helping to support multiple families that are in dire need.
Your feedback and feature ideas are encourage and highly appreciated! Reach out any time at: brian@learnarabic.cards.

Cook With Us!
Do you enjoy cooking and trying new foods?
My friend is an excellent baker by trade, and loves to cook Tabiikh (traditional Palestinian dishes) as well.
Here's just a sample of the delicious food we've cooked together:

- Khobez (pita bread) and Taboon (a large flatbread).
- Musakhan - roast chicken and sumac onions over Taboon.
- Sfeeha - a slightly spicy ground meat flatbread.
- Maqluba - a layered rice, potato, eggplant, tomato, carrot, and chicken dish all cooked together in one pot.
- Dawali / Wara 3nab - slightly tangy, rice and tomato stuffed grape leaves.
- Hindbeh - sauteed dandelion greens.
- Mujaddara - rice or bulgur mixed with lentils, and topped with caramelized onions.
- Bamia - okra stewed in a tomato sauce with Palestinian spices.
- Kofta Btahina - meatballs or patties, baked with onion and tomato in the most delicious lemon tahini sauce.
- And much more!
I have thoroughly enjoyed experiencing Palestinian cuisine in addition to learning the language.
We can work with you to plan a menu of your choice and schedule an unbelievably tasty and fun dinner experience.
And no worries if you don't know what you'd like to try. We can offer many ideas catered to your preferences and dietary restrictions. (Most recipes are easy to adapt for vegetarians and vegans. In fact, many recipes are vegan by default.)
The cost varies based on the menu, ingredients, and time. We are happy to to make this a budget-friendly experience.
Cooking together is a great way to:
- Learn new vocabulary related to food.
- Practice listening and speaking skills in a relaxed setting.
- Experience Palestinian culture through its cuisine.
